Stomp-IT Hamstring Isometric 90
Position: Position your client in a supine position with buttocks, upper back and head in contact with floor and both the hips and knee of one leg flexed to 90° and heel resting on the Stomp-IT. If needed the tester can exert pressure on the clients pelvis on the relaxed limb to ensure that they did not raise their buttocks off the floor.
Cues: "Pull the heel down as fast and as hard as you can and hold for 3 seconds"
Procedure:
Step 1 - Position client in a supine position with hips and knees flexed at 90 degrees over a table or chair with the foot on top of Stomp-IT
Step 2 - Push the START button
Step 3 - Ask client to: push as fast and as hard as you can and hold for until I say stop.
Step 4 - Rest for 3-5 seconds, repeat step 3 two more times
Step 5 - Push STOP
Step 6 - Repeat steps 1-5 on the other side
