Stomp-IT Lunge Isometric
PositionPosition your client in a shallow single leg squat position with front leg knees and hips flexed at approximately 90°.
Cues:"Push as fast and as hard as you can directly up and hold for 3 seconds".
Procedure:
Step 1 - Ask client to start on the Stomp-IT in a lunge position inside the Isorack or equivalent taking up the slack in the bar which is pressed up against a surface that cannot move.
Step 2 - Push the START button.
Step 3 - Ask client to push up with the cue: "Push as fast and as hard as you can and hold for 3 seconds".
Step 4 - Perform 3 repetitions in total with 3-5 seconds in-between each repetition.
Step 5 - Push STOP.
Step 6 - Repeat steps 2-5 on the other side.
Main Muscles: Gluteals, Quadriceps.
