What Is Balance COP Confidence Area
The COP Confidence Area represents the smallest oval encompassing 95% of COP tace data points and is represented by the grey circle surrounding the centre of pressure data on your balance test reading.
The advantage of this metric over Total Excursion is that it is a lot more forgiving of sudden wobbles that might dramatically affect the overall outcome of the test result.
Generally, a lower COP confidence Area is considered positive, indicating precise COP control. However, in some tests that involve more dynamic reaching tests, the goal may be to maximize COP movement in all directions without the feet coming off the ground, resulting in a larger ellipse.
An asymmetry in the Confidence Area may signal a balance weakness on one side.
