Correct Testing Positions

AxIT's sophisticated testing algorithm requires the application of the correct testing technique for certain tests so that key metrics can be determined.

Each testing protocol is outlined in the AxIT Training Portal.

As a general rule the following considerations should be made with every test:

  • For AxIT Push-IT/Pull-IT isometric testing, make sure the client is pushing or pulling the device as hard and fast as possible for 3 seconds making sure there is pre tension in the devices before the repetition is performed. Perform each test a minimum of 3 times with at least a 3 second rest in between.
  • For all Stomp-IT tests where you would start and finish the repetitions on the Stomp-IT, make sure the client is standing on the Stomp-IT in a balanced position before hitting the Start button on the test. eg: Squat, Vertical Jump
  • For all Stomp-IT tests where you would start and finish the repetitions off the Stomp-IT, make sure the client is standing off the Stomp-IT before hitting the Start button on the test. eg: Lunge, Drop Jump. For some tests like the Horizontal Jump, the client should then be encouraged to step onto the Stomp-IT gently before commencing the test repetition.
  • For all Balance Tests make sure the client stands as still as possible for the duration of the test countdown until it is completed.
