Stomp-IT Push Up with Pause

Position: Position your patient in a standing position on Stomp-IT.

Cues: "Perform 3 repetitions of push ups, moving down to 90° of elbow flexion and then pausing for 2 seconds. Push up as fast as you can when I say "Go". Pause in a top push up position after you have completed 3 repetitions"

Procedure:

Step 1 - Ask client to start on the Stomp-IT in a push up position.

Step 2 - Push the START button.

Step 3 - Ask client to perform push ups with the cue above.

Step 4 - Perform 3 repetitions in total with 3-5 seconds in-between each repetition making sure the client pauses at the end.

Step 5 - Push STOP
