ROM Elbow Flexion
Position: Position your client seated upright or standing, with the arm relaxed by their side, palm facing forward (anatomical position). Stabilize the upper arm to keep the shoulder still. Hold the tablet against the forearm, just above the wrist.
Cues: Bend your elbow and bring your hand up towards your shoulder as far as you can, keeping your upper arm still. Hold when you reach your maximum.
Procedure
Step 1 – Press START on the side you are testing.
Step 2 – Place the tablet against the forearm in the starting position (arm straight, palm forward).
Step 3 – Tap the LINE icon near the distal end of the forearm to begin angle capture.
Step 4 – Instruct the client to slowly bend (flex) the elbow to end range.
Step 5 – When they reach end range, tap the screen to capture the angle.
Step 6 – Tap SAVE to record the result.
Step 7 – Repeat steps 1–6 on the other side.
