ROM Hip Flexion
Position: Position your client lying on their back with the non-test leg straight and toes pointing up. Stabilize the pelvis with your hand or strap to prevent movement. Hold the tablet against the front of the test thigh, just above the kneecap.
Cues: Slowly bring your knee towards your chest until you feel a strong but comfortable stretch. Hold when you reach that point.
Procedure
Step 1 – Press START on the side you are testing.
Step 2 – Place the tablet against the thigh in the starting position (leg resting flat).
Step 3 – Tap the LINE icon near the distal end of the thigh to begin angle capture.
Step 4 – Instruct the client to flex the hip slowly to their end range.
Step 5 – When they reach end range, tap the screen to capture the angle.
Step 6 – Tap SAVE to record the result.
Step 7 – Repeat steps 1–6 on the other side.
