ROM Hip Internal Rotation Seated
Position: Position your client seated on the edge of a plinth or chair with feet off the ground. The hip and knee of the test leg are both at 90°. Stabilize the thigh to prevent movement. Hold the tablet against the front of the shin, just above the ankle.
Cues: Rotate your foot out to the side, keeping your thigh still, until you feel a strong but comfortable stretch. Hold when you reach that point.
Procedure
Step 1 – Press START on the side you are testing.
Step 2 – Place the tablet against the shin in the starting position (foot straight ahead).
Step 3 – Tap the LINE icon near the distal end of the shin to begin angle capture.
Step 4 – Instruct the client to rotate the foot outward (internally rotating the hip) slowly to their end range.
Step 5 – When they reach end range, tap the screen to capture the angle.
Step 6 – Tap SAVE to record the result.
Step 7 – Repeat steps 1–6 on the other side.
