ROM Knee Flexion
Position: Position your client lying on their back. The hip should be flexed to allow maximal knee flexion. The client actively flexes the knee as far as comfortably possible. Use the anatomical landmarks: Greater Trochanter (hip), Lateral Epicondyle (knee), and Lateral Malleolus (ankle).
Cues: Bend your knee and bring your heel as close to your body as you can, until you feel a strong but comfortable stretch. Hold when you reach that point.
Procedure
Step 1 – Press START on the side you are testing.
Step 2 – With the knee maximally flexed, place the tablet against the thigh, aligning with the femur (hip to knee).
Step 3 – Tap the LINE icon near the distal end (toward the knee) to begin angle capture.
Step 4 – Move the tablet to align with the lower leg, placing it against the shin toward the lateral malleolus.
Step 5 – Tap the screen again to capture the angle.
Step 6 – Tap SAVE to record the result.
Step 7 – Repeat steps 1–6 on the other side.
