Implementing an extensive testing appointment or "Super Session" using AxIT is a great way to create new revenue streams in your business, bridge the gap between acute care and ongoing exercise management, and engage your clients better in your services. To make sure you get the best outcomes from this it is worth spending some time scripting and documenting this process so that it runs efficiently.

Welcome client to the super session
-
“OK [name] so the aim of today is to really put a number on [why they are here]. What we are going to do is go through an extensive testing session to look at your strength and power (including other tests such as flexibility/balance etc) using the AxIT System. This will give us all the data we need to know where you are at right now so I can create a plan to address any discrepancies or deficiencies you might have and we can turn any of your weaknesses into your strengths and really get you back to achieving [goals outlined in first session]. That sounds good, doesn’t it? Alright lets go.”

Perform Super Session testing collecting data on all areas that need to be assessed.

So [name] we’ve put you through our extensive testing process today so we could really understand the true cause of [why they are here.]
Based on our findings today we have identified key issues that are a big cause of [why they are here]
Based on [test] name we can see that (examples):-
A difference greater than 10% from side-to-side peak force, is likely a strength discrepancy that could predispose to not having enough capacity or overloading the stronger side.
-
Reduced overall peak force may also mean not having adequate strength for what one wants to be able to do. Compare this to evidence-based references indicated by a lightbulb icon or simplified score report in AxIT Connect.
-
Difference greater than 10% of peak RFD, is a potentially meaningful difference in the amount of neural drive or power for certain movements.
-
Reduced overall RFD, not enough power for what wants to do.
-
Increased overall RFD on certain movements like landing forces etc may indicate an inability to disperse forces on those movements.
-
Reduced GCT, Jump Height, and RSI where appropriate.
-
-
Based on these findings what we need to do is get you into our [exercise package or service name] so that we can help you address what we’ve found. That way we’ll know that you are doing your exercises properly and at the right intensity to give you the best chance to get back to achieving [goal] in the quickest amount of time possible. Then we’ll retest you in 4 weeks using the results we found today to see how you are improving and make sure we are always on the right track. That sounds good, doesn’t it?

Spend some time preparing how your assessment-based sessions will run and the payoff will be a new service stream, that engages your clients further into the management process, sets you apart from your competition, and helps people achieve their goals.
