What Is Jump Height?
Jump height is the simple vertical displacement achieved by the centre of mass from take-off to the top of the flight trajectory on any jump test performed on the Stomp-IT device.
UP - Unloading Phase
BP - Braking Phase
PP- Propulsion Phase
FP - Flight Phase
LP - Landing Phase
Jump Height is measured simply by calculations performed around flight time during the Flight Phase from the last point of contact to the first point of landing.
Research suggests:
-
Jump height of less than 30cm is considered poor in athletic individuals.
-
Jump height of 30-45cm is considered satisfactory.
-
Jump height of over 45cm is considered excellent.
Jump or Hop height should be greater than drop height when performing Drop Jump or Drop Hop tests.
